We have an exceptional opportunity for an experienced and qualified Meat Manager to take charge of the Meat Department at Seasons IGA Clontarf. This role requires an individual who can manage the department with a sense of ownership, demonstrating significant meat knowledge and effective leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Meat Department Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Meat Department, demonstrating a 'hands-on' approach and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Inventory Control: Manage stock ordering and cost control to optimize inventory levels and minimize waste. Ensure efficient stock rotation and control over markdowns.
Team Leadership: Coach, train, and performance manage a small team, fostering a positive work environment. Motivate the team to deliver exceptional customer service.
Merchandising: Showcase a flair for merchandising, implementing strategies to drive sales and enhance the overall customer shopping experience.
Quality Assurance: Maintain excellent stock quality and control, adhering to workplace health and safety and food safety standards.
Requirements:
Experience: Previous management experience is essential, with a strong background in the supermarket industry preferred.
Qualifications: A minimum of a Certificate 2 in meat processing.
Skills: Effective communication skills, both within the team and with management. A positive 'can do' attitude, efficient problem-solving skills, and a passion for fresh food in the grocery retail industry.
Work Schedule:
Full-time position with a standard workweek from Sunday to Thursday during business hours.
Salary:
Competitive salary of $75,000 annually.
