Your Role
Hollard Insurance is Hollard's wholly owned commercial insurance business. We specialise in business insurance products designed to protect everyday risks for Small to Medium Australian businesses via insurance intermediaries.
The position is responsible for delivering an informed, fair, and timely claims management service across a specialised portfolio of Commercial Property claims and Liability Claims.
The role is responsible for the following:
- Supervising of the investigation and settlement of claims.
- Technical handling from start to finish of a portfolio of claims to ensure that the correct decisions are made in relation to indemnity and quantum.
- Reporting to Senior Management/Insurers in relation to large claim and trends that are identified within the claims portfolio.
Knowledge & Qualifications:
- At least 5+ years claims experience of handling Business Package, Liability and Home claims.
- Experience in dealing with Broker Networks, repairers, assessors, adjustors, lawyers and direct customers.
- Current knowledge of insurance guidelines, court decisions impacting claims functions, and policy changes and modifications and recommending changes to Company policies and procedures.
- Ability to interpret coverage and terms offered to determine Hollard’s legal position on complex claims.
- Understanding of General Insurance Code of Practice, Contracts Insurance Act and Privacy Act.
