Fluor's Mining & Metals team are looking for Principal and Senior Mechanical Design Engineers to join our team working with a Tier 1 Client on a Rare Earth's Refinery project. The rare earth oxides produced by this refinery are critical inputs across a range of industries and technologies including electric vehicles, sustainable energy, advanced electronics, medical and defence applications. Role Responsibilities:
- Prepare and oversee the production of detailed deliverables such as drawings, specifications, scope of work, calculations, technical reports, datasheets, requisitions, estimates, budgets and schedules for scope variation and technical queries
- Lead the review and checking process to ensure technical integrity of all deliverables are met, delivering projects as required.
- Undertake technical verification of project deliverables by others within technical expertise.
- Interpret, manage, and approve engineering drawings, documents, specifications, and scopes to project assignments.
- Coordinate with the Designers and Area Lead Engineers to develop the plant layout and detailed design.
- Collaborate with the different disciplines, vendors, and the client.
- Perform design calculations.
- Develop and adjudicate equipment packages.
- Perform all assigned activities in accordance with mechanical engineering discipline policies, procedures, and standard methods of operation.
