We are looking for a Mechanical Designer to join our team working across a continuous succession of projects as they progress through the project lifecycle from early concept development, detailed design, construction, commissioning, and operations.

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop multi discipline plant concepts and layouts across a range of industries using AutoCAD.
• Review of vendor drawings and design data.
• Manage and provide support to the project team to ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, standards, and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with the project team, clients and to other project stakeholders.
• Produce discipline specific deliverables that meet Primero Groups, the client’s and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Produce project drafting deliverables ensuring quality, schedule and integrity requirements are met.

Education and Experience:

• Experience in 3D CAD mechanical design of minerals processing plants.
• Gold plant layout experience is advantageous
• Willingness to learn and develop your technical skills in the layout of process plant equipment.
• Understanding of statutory and industry regulations and HSE practices.
• Knowledge and practical application of design theories, principles and practices.
• The ability to work efficiently and effectively within a multi-discipline team environment. 
• Keen eye for detail and a systematic approach to producing deliverables. 
• Proven ability to work autonomously or as a part of team. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
