Mechanical Drafter - Revit

Our client is a recognised as a leading innovator and manufacturer in the data centre market. The company specialises in the design, manufacturing and installation of cabinets, security caging, structural data hall ceilings, and airflow management/containment systems.

Our client is looking for a Mechanical Drafter specialising in Revit for a 6 month contract.

This role can be based out of Sydney or Melbourne.

Key responsibilities

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Drafter with a proven track record in the manufacturing and construction industry.

Duties will include:

• Document Client Design to adhere to client specifications and Statutory requirements
  
• Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare design
  
• Use of Revit to produce Building Information Modelling (BIM) to improve and optimise processes
  
• Creation of Parametric Families that are schedulable and adaptable
  
• Use of BIM360 to publish and coordinate with project contractors
  
• Design for standardisation and management of those standards
  
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost efficiencies
  
• Meet client deadlines in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  
• Liaise with clients and internal project teams
  
• Reporting to Design Manager
  

Skills & experience

Experience in the following areas would be an advantage for the successful applicant:

• Experience or Knowledge of the Datacentre industry will be highly regarded
  
• Client Liaison and Management of Design projects
  
• Knowledge of construction and manufacturing for sheet metal and laser cutting methods
  
• Ability to read and interpret project drawings and specifications
  
• Excellent written and oral communication and negotiation skills
  
• Excellent time management skills, able to work efficiently and independently, and remain calm under pressure
  
• Highly proficient in Revit and the Revit family editor
  
• Skills in BIM360, Revisto and Navisworks will be highly regarded
  
• Skills in Dynamo will be highly regarded
