Role Summary:
Join our dynamic team as a Mechanical Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in enhancing the design and optimization of our sheet metal fabrication processes. This position promises a collaborative environment working with our top manufacturing professionals to deliver engineering solutions that uphold the highest industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analyse mechanical systems tailored for sheet metal operations such as cutting, punching, forming, and assembly.
- Employ innovative engineering strategies to refine manufacturing processes, leveraging advanced CNC and CAD/CAM technologies.
- Partner with production teams to implement process enhancements that elevate product quality and increase operational efficiency.
- Manage projects from concept to delivery, ensuring compliance with all technical requirements.
- Analyse functional statements, organizational charts, and project data to define responsibilities and workflow within teams.
- Develop standards for labour utilization through work measurement programs and work sample analysis.
- Optimize workforce and equipment deployment by examining facility layouts, operational data, and production schedules and costs.
- Support the design of components, manufacturing plants, and systems, including specifications and material selections.
- Set standards and policies for installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspection, and maintenance adhering to engineering principles and safety regulations.
- Perform inspections of plants to maintain and enhance performance.
- Oversee the maintenance of plant and equipment and manage the logistics of new designs and maintenance schedules.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- At least two years of relevant experience in mechanical design, preferably within the sheet metal or a related manufacturing sector.
- Proficiency in CAD software and a good understanding of CNC machine operations.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong teamwork skills.
- A driven passion for technological advancements and innovation in the manufacturing field.
Salary:
- Annual salary ranging from $65,000 to $75,000 plus superannuation, commensurate with experience.
