We are recruiting an experienced and proactive Mechanical Engineer to work as a member of our growing engineering team. The role plays a vital part in product development, manufacturing support, problem solving, and after sales backup. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated with a general interest in the agriculture industry and possess good time management skills.
This position will require extensive use of SolidWorks CAD software, a high aptitude with SolidWorks’ products and a sound knowledge of top-down assembly modelling will be very highly regarded.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates advanced skills in SolidWorks.
- Capable of providing technical support for our products to internal and external stakeholders.
- Diligent and precise in their approach with a keen eye for detail.
- Adhere to Coolamon’s manufacturing processes to ensure a high standard of consistency with design ideas.
- Work as a team to create comprehensive and precise engineering drawings.
- Generate precise supporting documentation tailored for after sales support.
- Opportunity to work on exciting and unique projects from concept through to detailed design with the engineering team.
Design Engineer skills:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Contribute to the development of product designs considering customer requirements, manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and safety.
- High proficiency in SolidWorks 3D CAD software.
- Logical, pragmatic, and able to think “outside the square”.
- Experience in team problem solving, to build excellent loyal relationships.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and knowledge of the agricultural industry.
