About the Role

The role
• Set up heating and cooling load calculation files
• Prepare HVAC, Fire Protection and Plumbing layout and drafting
• Maintain AutoCAD and Revit files and ensure established standards are followed
• Prepare preliminary motor list and equipment selections using firm selection procedures
• Adapt to handle changing priorities and respond systematically to critical situations
• Co-ordinate mechanical requirements with other disciplines involved in the project design team
• Co-ordinate service requirements/connections with the respective utility and/or municipal agencies
• Assist in training junior staff and reviewing their work
• Provide construction administration services as directed and supervised by senior staff
• Lead the technical delivery for projects from concept to implementation for all renewable energy initiatives.
What you bring to the team:
• 2+ years design experience in HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems
• Australian Qualifications Framework - Bachelor Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma associated with Mechanical Engineering specialisation
• Ability to read Architectural, Structural, Electrical drawings with minimal supervision provided by senior staff
• Knowledge of energy modeling and calculations
• Past Revit experience
• A growth mindset to constantly challenge the status quo, to develop optimised solutions for each project.
• Excellent advisory and reporting skills - the ability to analyse various sources of information, and clearly communicate these complex ideas with less technical stakeholders
• A collaborative nature – keen to share knowledge with the team and drive excellence across a range of projects.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Strong report writing, communication and consulting skills
• Possess advanced interpersonal skills with clients and staff, along with advanced communication and coaching abilities.
