Mechanical Engineer /Draftsperson

We have an exciting career opportunity in our Sunshine Coast office for a Mechanical Engineer / Draftsperson.

We are leaders in the design and manufacture of conveyor improvement systems, in the areas of conveyor productivity and safety.  We provide bespoke solutions to ports and the mining, process, sugar, and power generation industries.

As an integral part of the engineering team at Consolidated EPP you will be taking responsibility for the detailed design of mechanical plant / bespoke solutions, from the concept and pre-feasibility stages through to the execution and client hand over.

As a Mechanical Engineer / Draftsperson, your responsibilities will include:

• Carry out the detailed design and engineering of mechanical plant / bespoke solutions as directed by the design team lead.
• Ensuring designs are compliant to relevant Australian standards, statutory requirements and client specifications.
• Assisting with the preparation of engineering documentation, technical drawings that will be critical to the successful delivery of projects.
• Contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

To be considered for this position, it is essential that you have:

• Tertiary Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering /or Drafting.
• Good Mechanical Engineering design skills and the ability to articulate and follow Mechanical Engineering and design processes.
• Experience in AutoCAD with a good understanding of mechanical / structural design drawings.
• Experience with, or an understanding of 3D design software (Solidworks, Inventor would be highly regarded).
• Experience with, or an understanding of 3D scanning software and point cloud data would be highly regarded.
• The ability to meet deadlines and respond well to a changing work environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organisation.
