Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer or Industrial Designer to join our dynamic R&D team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mechanical Engineering and/or industrial design, with a passion for creating cutting-edge racing simulation products. This role requires a creative problem-solver who can lead projects from concept to production, ensuring the highest standards of quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Design and Development: Design and develop racing/flight simulation products from initial concept through to production.
- CAD Modeling and Simulation: Create detailed 3D CAD models and perform simulations to validate designs.
- Prototyping and Testing: Develop prototypes and oversee testing to ensure products meet performance and durability standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, customer service, and external manufacturers, to ensure cohesive product development.
- Innovation: Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements to incorporate new ideas into product designs.
- Project Management: Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to deliver products on schedule and within scope.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all products meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications, Experience and Attributes
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering or industrial design, preferably in the simulation, gaming, or automotive industries.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Rhino), FEA analysis, prototyping tools, and Adobe Suites. Experience with manufacturing processes and materials.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex design issues.
- Creativity: Demonstrated ability to innovate and develop new concepts that enhance user experience and product functionality.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
