ROLE OVERVIEW
We are currently seeking multiple Mechanical Engineers with detailed design experience to join a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy's in Brisbane, providing mechanical engineering and technical input across small, medium and large scale projects.
You will have the opportunity to work on detailed design and execution alongside industry experts as they provide quality solutions to Tier 1 clients in the oil & gas, mining & minerals, petrochemical and water industry.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Complete the detailed Mechanical Design works (Pipe Stress Analysis and Finite Element Analysis) associated with tanks, pressure vessels, pumping and piping systems and mechanical equipment.
- Ensure all designs are fit for purpose and adhere to Australian and International Standards.
- Provide engineering sketches to and subsequently check the output of design drafters producing detailed mechanical and piping design drawings to an Issued for Construction (IFC) level.
- Prepare or contribute to technical documentation and reports (basis of design, scope of works, system evaluation and performance, operating philosophy).
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 4 - 8 years experience in the following industries: oil & gas, petrochemical, mining & metals and water.
- Experience utilising software's such as Caesar II or Autopipe (highly regarded)
- Familiar with relevant standards and codes
- Excellent numeracy and computer skills.
