About the role
We have a great opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team. Candidates with a background in defence, marine specifically, will be highly regarded. Candidates will be able to interface with clientele to provide technical support and engineering solutions.
This role is based in our Wangara office, Full-time, Monday to Friday. You will be required to travel to visit the client when required.
Primary responsibilities
Duties shall include, but will not be limited to;
- Attended meetings with clientele to provide technical support and engineering solutions;
- Interface with company departments providing technical and engineering assistance;
- Compiling of Engineering Reports, Root Cause Failure Analysis; Procedure writing, Engineering Calculations, Contract Data Requirement Lists;
- Carry out Technical Bid Evaluations and provide engineering input to Contract Change Proposals;
- Development of Workpacks and associated Close Out Reports;
- Review of procedures, drawings, material certification and other order related documentation to ensure technical compliance in accordance with industry/clientele standards and specifications;
- Produce Engineering Drawings for design and manufacture (Solid Works / Auto CAD);
- Valve, Actuator and PSV sizing and selection (Highly Desirable)
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
A successful candidate will bring the following skills and experience to the role;
- Engineering Degree or
- Experience in working with valves or other similar pressure; equipment (preferred);
- Experience in the Energy, Defence or Marine industry (highly regarded)
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work well in team and to take own initiative.
- Commitment to continual improvement and a flexible approach to change.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and committed to delivering HSEQ excellence.
