This will be a hands-on position, with 80% being on site and 20% office based

About the role
Directly reporting to the Project Manager, responsible for the production, installation, and support for the deliverables of the projects.
Duties
- Collaborate with clients and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Support in the whole project lifecycle
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement corrective actions to mitigate project delays or budget overruns.
- Oversee project delivery activities including quality and safety
- Ensures site specific management plans are implemented
- Producing an Engineering Management Plan
- Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems
- Cost control and forecasting
- Providing input to the Project Manager to allow the PM to track claims and variations
- Tracking deliverables and ensuring that all proper approvals are obtained from the Project Manager
- Updating the Risk Register
- Prepare and present project reports, including project status updates, budget analysis, and technical documentation, to stakeholders and senior management.
- Identifying and resolving resourcing shortfalls
- Interface with the clints as well as contractors and sub-contractors
Skills and Experience
- Degree in Engineering from within a related field Telecommunications (or related experience)
- Demonstrated extensive Communications and Operational Technology experience in the rail sector.
- Experience and knowledge of LLPA, CCTV, BAS, PIN, Traction Power SCADA, Infrastructure Monitoring SCADA (IMS), Train Control System (TCS) and CAD.
- Knowledge and experience of Public Transport Authority (PTA) systems and processes as well as entry into service requirements.
- MS Office suite of software.
- A collaborative approach with proven ability to work effectively in a team.
- RIW card and PTA Safe working accreditation.
- Strong problem solving, organisational and communication skills.
- Full Australian working rights
