Working as part of the engineering team, the Mechanical Engineer will focus on designing, testing, and manufacturing electromechanical equipment, components, and systems and ensuring that these products are reliable and able to withstand harsh environmental conditions.
Responsibilities
- Design, simulate and hands on test electro-mechanical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems
- Prepare technical technical/fit-for-purpose documentation for electro-mechanical systems, specifications and scopes of work using the Autodesk suite of products
- Maintain the CAD Vault and be active in ensuring CAD standards are maintained.
- Select appropriate manufacturing, construction, installation methods
- Be across relevant Australian and International standards
- Prepare Quotes of materials and equipment
- Inspect completed installations, components and fault find
- Develop and maintain quality standards and work procedures
This role is suited to an individual with a passion for working in the growing green energy industry and 2 – 5 years of technical experience in electromechanical equipment from a manufacturing environment. Ideally, you will have some knowledge of thermal design or CFD together with an understanding of structural design for wind loading.
