Mechanical Engineer

Total Connections is an established hydraulics and hose & fittings company with branches in Port Hedland, Kalgoorlie & Perth.
We have a position available in our Wedgefield workshop for an experienced Mechanical Engineer. We are seeking an energetic, motivated person who is conversant in hose and fittings and who can competently diagnose and repair hydraulic cylinders.
Overseas applicants eligible for a 482 visa or equivalent visa will be considered
About the Role:
Investigate and reviews utilization of personnel, facilities, equipment and materials, current operational processes and established practices to recommend improvements in the efficiency of operations in a variety of commercial, industrial and production environments . Registration or licensing may be required.
You will perform a variety of tasks both within and outside of the workshop including mobile service, Shutdown work, hydraulic hose & fitting repairs, assessing stripping and reassembling hydraulic cylinders and fire suppression servicing. We work closely with our clients and strive for excellence in customer service.
The role is full time- no less than 38 hours per week
Required:
Qualified with a minimum of two years relevant experience
Experience in hydraulic hose assemblies
Experience in diagnosing and repairing hydraulic cylinders
Attention to detail
Strong work ethic and pride in workmanship and a minimum of two yeas experience
Computer literate (Email, Office, and use of ERP system)
Ability to follow systems & directions
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
A sound understanding of OHS and Safe Work Practices
Legible handwriting
“Can-do” attitude
Drug & Alcohol Screening (expiry within 1 month)
Police Check (expiry within 1 year)
Forklift license
MR License
Salary between $79,000 and $100,000 before overtime and commensurate with your level of experience
