Heat Exchangers WA (HEWA) was established in 2003 with one goal in mind, to be the very best cooling tower & plate heat exchanger service centre in Australia.

We are currently seeking an experienced full time Mechanical Engineering Service Technician (ANZSCO 312512) to join us.
Applications will be accepted from the 10th of May until the 11th of June.
At least three years of previous full time relevant experience is required for the role.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
- Service, repair, assemble, install, commission, inspect heat exchangers and cooling towers either at HEWA’s service centre or on site;
- To assist in planning & preparation of jobs, using drawings, plans and designs;
- Check quality of work performed;
- Requisition materials from inventory, replenish consumables in accordance with scope of work;
- Provide training to temporary staff for service as applicable;
- Discuss equipment & maintenance with clients, collect and analyse data as required;
- Check and Record goods inward & despatch with stock control;
- Testing of equipment to meet specifications where required;
- Clear and accurate communication with customers;
- Adhere to all occupational health and safety requirements. This may include drug and alcohol tests on some sites;
- Keep workshop and work sites in a safe, clean and tidy state at all times;
- Keep up to date with new industry standards;
- Carry out all instructions to the very best of your ability;
- All paper work to be completed accurately and in a timely manner, before and after each job;
- Time sheets to be completed daily & accurately and handed to Supervisor;
- Be committed to the continuous improvement of all systems associated with the service function;
- Fulfil other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested/required;
- Attend to site or overnight stays away for work will be required to fulfil the requirements of the role.
A successful candidate will be required to meet the following criteria:
Qualifications
- Relevant Diploma or Trade certificate.
- Competent English (Current IELTS; Pearsons PTE, ToEFL or Cambrighe Certificate obtained within the last 2 years)
Experience
- Minimum two years current work experience in a mechanical trade or extensive experience in the assembly and servicing of heat exchangers or cooling towers.
- Preferably have a working knowledge of heat exchangers or cooling towers.
- Site service and customer relations experience preferred
