Mechanical Engineer/Planner

Crusader Caravans is looking for a dedicated and passionate Planning Officer/ Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Epping, Victoria 

Location:14 Chadderton Blvd., Epping, VIC 3076.

Salary: $70,000 + superannuation

Hours: Full Time - 38 hours per week

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Design new systems and processes and provide facilities and methods to ensure the cost-effective integration of new products or improve existing ones into manufacturing operations.

• Use of functional statements, organisational charts and project information for the determination of functions of workers and work units;

• Use of functional statements and project information to identify areas of duplication;

• Analysis and utilisation of workforce, facility layout, operational data, production schedules and costs to ascertain the most efficient allocation of workers and equipment;

• Creating mechanical equipment, machines, components and products for manufacturing;

• Designing plant and systems for construction purposes;

• Formulating specifications for manufacture and selecting materials, equipment and piping;

• Determining material flows, capacities and plant layout;

• Managing project labour and overseeing the delivery of materials, plant and equipment;

• Establishing standards and protocols for installation, modification and quality control, amongst others;

• Adhering to Engineering principles and Safety Regulations;

• Conducting plant inspections to ensure optimal performance; 

• Supervising maintenance of plant buildings and equipment, and coordinating needs.

• Establish protocols and recommendations for installation, quality assurance, testing, inspection, and maintenance aligning all activities with technical principles and safety regulations

Qualifications of a Mechanical Engineer:

• Bachelor’s degree in the field of engineering;

• Minimum 2 years of work experience in relevant field.
