Sydney Water have partnered with Delivering 4 Customers (D4C) to deliver; design, construct, maintenance, and facilities management services as part of the P4S program in Sydney Water's Southern Region of Sydney.
D4C is a consortium comprising of John Holland, Service Stream and WSP.
D4C has opportunities available for Mechanical Fitters on multiple Sewer Pumping Stations upgrade and treatment projects across our region.
You will be working in a hands on role installing pump and pumping systems, valves and associated pipework to successfully complete projects on time and to our high standards.
Reporting directly to the supervisors you will be communicating and building strong relationships with key stakeholders on the project and with our client as well as being responsible for compliance testing, connection works, other associated plant operation, confined space works, pit building, general concreting, and labouring.
You must have:
- Recent working experience in a similar position
- Confined space works, testing, and maintenance experience
- Experience working under pressure and in emergency situations and have strong problem-solving skills.
- Sound interpersonal skills and strong communications skills
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Mechanical Trade qualification or similar discipline
- White card
- NSW Drivers licence (MR/HR desirable)

- Truck licence (MR/HR)

- First Aid
- Water/Sewer project experience
- Excavator Statement of Attainment
- Confined Space
- Working at heights
- EWP
- Poly Welding tickets
- FIFM training
- Control electrical risks on metallic pipes certification
Operational information:
- Permanent - fulltime role Mon to Fri on day shift 7am start
- Favourable hourly rate, plus shift penalties, allowances and overtime
