Mechanical Fitter - Campbell Park

We are seeking a Mechanical Fitter to perform planned and reactive maintenance works including tasks such as routine inspections, function tests, preventative maintenance, general repairs, upgrades and refurbishments in the Canberra region.

Your Daily Activities:

Deliver preventative and responsive maintenance to electrical systems and equipment as prescribed by the contract including but not limited to

• Deliver trade based works as prescribed by the contract;
• Work with maintenance personnel from other trade groups to maintain equipment to agreed schedules, procedures and standards;
• Manage all operational matters within your functional area to ensure a high level of service is provided to the client, ensuring objectives and quality standards are met. Monitor performance as appropriate;
• Represent the business appropriately in all dealings with external and internal contacts
• Provide ideas and support innovation;
• Contribute to condition assessments throughout the course of duties;
• Actively manage and meet response times, deadlines and safety obligations;

About you

• Suitability for Defence security clearance (Australian Citizenship Mandatory);
• Qualified Tradesperson - Cert III in Engineering (Mechanical Fitter);
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience post trade, preferably in a similar environment
• Valid driver's licence with no restrictions;
• Current first aid certificate (preferred);
• Experience in responding to and satisfying customer requests;
• Experience using hand or power equipment related to specific trades;
