Our Opportunity
Work location: Hazelmere
Roster: Monday to Friday (5/2)
Based at our Hazelmere R&D facility, we are presently looking for an experienced Mechanical fitter with strong interest with working on various prototypes and green products that align with and focus on green energy and our zero emission targets
Key Responsibilities
- Providing safe, effective construction and timely modifications of our mining equipment protypes/green products in association with Green Fleet projects
- Assisting in design and construction of cooling system circuits on fuel cell and battery systems
- Fault finding and assisting with design of diverse hydraulic systems
- Assisting in design and construction of fabricated items that are required for projects
- Working closely with engineers and design teams to create sub systems within a prototype
- Assist in carrying out routine mechanical maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting
- Diagnostics & fault finding
- Workshop duties as required
- Work in conjunction with other trade and engineering disciplines to achieve 100% schedule compliance
- Ensure all activities undertaken are carried out in accordance with company safety policy and procedures
- To provide any continuous improvement suggestions and to operate in a cost-effective manner at all times
Qualifications and Experience
- Australian recognised trade certificate
- A demonstrated commitment to safety with the ability to work unsupervised
- Abilities to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Excellent communication skills
- High Risk Licences - EWP, Forklift, Working at Heights, Dogging and rigging ticket, Heavy Rigid Driver's Licence
