We are seeking a Fixed PlantMechanical Fitter for one of our clients based in Muchea for a 4 month period.
About Your New Role
Our client is seeking and experienced Mechanical Fitter with knowledge of Fixed Plant equipment such as pumps, blowers & conveyors. You will play a crucial role in the assembly and repair of Fixed Plant equipment ensuring they meet high-quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Disassemble, clean, inspect and measure pumps, mechanical seals, valves, and other equipment
- Assemble, measure, record and test pumps, mechanical seals, valves, and other equipment
- Assemble new or overhauled equipment as per specifications
- Modify and/or machining of components and equipment
- Assembling machined components
- Assembly of close coupled pumps, gearboxes and motors
- Rotating equipment alignment to nominated tolerances using dial indicators or laser equipment
- Adhere and follow safe work practices in performing duties and responsibilities
About You
- Trade qualified- Mechanical Fitter
- Minimum 2 years post trade experience
- Knowledge of Fixed Plant pumps, blowers & conveyors
- Knowledge of mechanical seals
- A basic understanding of bearing fits, tolerances, and applied loads
- Great problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Proficient in use of measuring tools and interpreting technical drawings
- An eye for detail and a commitment to highest quality standards
- Current Drivers Licence
- Forklift Licence
- Complete a pre-employment medical, including Drug & Alcohol screening
- MUST be willing to drive daily to and from Muchea.

- 5:2 4:3 roster Mon - Thurs / Mon - Fri 6am starts
