Nickel West Leinster
Nickel West Leinster is located 375 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia. The operation sources nickel ore from the Perseverance Underground Mine and Cliffs Underground Mine before crushing and processing to produce a concentrate. The Leinster Village and Township offer a unique lifestyle with all the modern conveniences – an Olympic size swimming pool, health and fitness centre, race-course and even an 18 hole golf course. About The Role

Nickel West is positioned well to energise our future
Reporting to the Supervisor Mechanical Maintenance, the Mechanical Technician is responsible for the preventative and breakdown maintenance of all fixed plant equipment related to the Cage/Skip Winders, materials handling system – apron feeders, rock breaker and conveyers, underground dewatering, primary ventilation and compressed air systems underground. You will be required to work with the highest priority to safety at all times and in doing so, supporting the Leinster Nickel Operation by being industry leaders in maintenance.
About You
Skills and Requirements include:
Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter with a solid work history post trade.
Currently employed as a fixed plant fitter.
Experience on various types of pumps, valves, pneumatics and hydraulics
Ability to read and interpret hydraulic circuit flow diagrams
Motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision
Good computer skills, ideally with SAP or 1SAP knowledge
Solid history in the mining industry especially those who are currently in FIFO roles.
Forklift and Elevated Work Platform Ticket preferred
Rigging, confined space & working at heights will be highly regarded
Experience across Fixed Plant and Underground operations
