Mechanical Fitter

Baker & Provan is a long-standing Defence contractor providing critical maintenance and repair services the Australian Navy and other Defence customers. This is an opportunity to utilise your Mechanical Fitting/Hydraulic skills in a unique environment with a great team. You must have a can-do attitude.

About the role

• You will be required to maintain various Defence equipment, utilising your mechanical/hydraulic experience maintain a large array of Naval Defence equipment supporting the ADF and our other customers. 
• The role is a full-time permanent opportunity. Based in Henderson WA. 
• You will be expected to work a standard 38-hour week, overtime (with penalty rates) will be available.
• Hourly rate will be based on skills and experience.

Essential requirements

• Australian Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter.
• At least 2 years post trade experience 
• Strong knowledge/experience working with Hydraulics will be highly regarded. 
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical.
• Obtain/maintain a Defence access pass (which is subject to police/security checks)
