Our produce is supplied to all major Australian supermarket chains, as well as independent grocers and a range of food industry stakeholders.
We are looking for a Contract Maintenance Mechanical Fitter / Welding Fabricator (12 month contract) to join our team.
As part of a growing business the role will need someone with experience and passion but also a willingness to learn and accept new challenges.

$40-$45 per hour
Objective of the role
- Maintenance is an important part of a maintenance Fitter/Fabrication job skill set, Problem solving skills and machine designing equipment are routinely used on the farm in troubleshooting machinery and design.
- To contribute to the safe, efficient & effective operation of all Plant Equipment by performing all aspects of maintenance activities, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard & strictly within OH&S requirements
Safety
- To accept and abide by the Occupational Health & Safety and Environment Policies and Principles.
- Report any defective/unsafe tools or plant equipment.
- Ensure others are working Safely
- Hazard and Near Miss reporting
Housekeeping
- Apply Good Housekeeping Rules to Workshop & Other Areas
- Always apply Good Housekeeping Practices before, during & after any activities.
- Ensure all tools & equipment are kept in good, clean & safe condition.
- Ensure all tools & equipment are returned to Workshop after use.
Maintenance
- Undertake Preventative & Scheduled Maintenance Activities as defined by CMMS
- Respond to break down situations to repair to all plant equipment as requested.
- Fabrication and design equipment
Improvements
- Liaise with Maintenace Manger about performance of equipment.
- Ensure any adjustments to any plant machinery are approved by Maintenace Manager, prior to implementation.
- Record any defects found during performance of work.
Additional Functions
- Participate in Personal Performance Plan as defined by Assets Manager
- Commit to achieve agreed KPIs generated from Personal Performance Plan
- Develop & maintain a good working relationship with team members.
- Correct & accurate completion of Work orders for accurate traceability.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Tradesman Certificate Maintenance Fitter – 5 years Minimum.
- Fabrication sheet metal and welding experience.
- Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety and Environment Policies and Principles.
