Servicing businesses across the rail, steel, ports, oil & gas and manufacturing industries, we are based in Altona but out clientele are Australia wide.
Additional works, combined with our ongoing and workflow has resulted in an opportunity to further expand our existing workforce. We seek experienced and Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitters or Fitter and Turners to join our operations.
What you will do:
- The role primarily deals with inspection, measurement, assembly and testing of various rolling stock (train) componentry and equipment;
- Bogie dismantle, repair, overhaul and assembly;
- Fitting and assembling components;
- Working in a team environment;
- Be responsible for the quality of your workmanship.
- Day Shift (Mon to Thurs 6am - 2:30pm, Fri 6am to 12pm)
Qualifications & Skills:
- Australian recognised qualifications as a Fitter and Turner, Mechanical Fitter or Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trades.
- Previous experience in component overhauls and rebuilds ideally in rail, automotive, defense, manufacturing, aviation, or other like industries.
- Perform mechanical related tasks such as overhaul, preventative maintenance, fit out and assembly of mechanical equipment.
- Use a range of precision measurement equipment, machinery, hand and power tools.

Highly Regarded:
- Extensive Fitting experience
- Previous Rail/Rolling Stock oe heavy engineering experience
- Valid High Risk Work Licence (preference for WP, DG, LF)
