Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the Mechanical Fitter is responsible for ongoing maintenance of the running and maintaining of the plant facility.
You will work on the conveyor and stacker, Operate the control cab, run and maintain the conveyor belts and operate the earth moving gear onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair heavy machinery and equipment
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnose faults on equipment
- Assemble, install, and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems
- Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Conduct regular maintenance to ensure equipment is operating efficiently and safely
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects within deadlines
- Taking personal responsibility for the continuous improvement and enhancement of our Zero Harm culture
- Working with various mobile/fixed plant maintenance professionals with over 100 years’ experience combined.

- Perm Rate $59-$63ph + 11% super | Casual Rate $72.14-$76.75ph + 11% super

- Australia recognized Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter
- Minimum of 12 months’ post trade experience, working as a Mechanical Fitter working on the maintenance and operations of a plant facility.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Current driver's license – HR preferred
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
- Must have a confined space and working at heights ticket.
- Have current work rights in Australia
- 2 x references from supervisory level
