About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a State Government Agency to engage an Mechanical Project Engineer. This position is located in their busy Sydney NSW office for an initial 12-month contract. 

  
About the Position Provide engineering expertise and coordination to ensure WaterNSW project front end loading is completed effectively. The work scope includes defining asset requirements, technical investigations, asset assessments, options development, options analysis, project scope and technical specification development and puts safety first.

Duties

• Ensure all activities are undertaken with the safety of our people as the number one priority and always role model safe behaviour.
• Lead and coordinate asset condition assessments, analyse findings and provide risk based recommendations (opex and capex interventions).
• Lead and coordinate technical investigations to understand the root causes of asset issues and system constraints.
• Develop user requirements specifications, including engaging input from stakeholders
• Engage and manage engineering consultants for condition assessments, technical studies, and options development.
• Provide technical support and recommend actions across all project phases 

Requirements/Skills

• Current NSW driver’s Licence
• Eligibility for membership of Engineers Australia
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or higher form of tertiary institution or an Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and suitable relevant experience
