  • Engineer out areas of poor performance in equipment and safety by identifying and completing initiatives which deliver measurable value.
  • Monitor technical developments, interpret the implications for CVO and take appropriate actions and recommend refinements to improve asset reliability and reduce operating costs.
  • Provide direction and guidance on relevant mechanical equipment standards.
  • Ensure effective management of contractors and consultants.
  • Build own capability for work in current and future roles.

To succeed in this role, you will be a self-starter, enjoy continuous improvement, and have the drive to deliver consistent results. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and the innate ability to communicate effectively upwards and to operational levels, along with the following:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Mechanical Engineering
  • Mining or heavy industry – Preferred

  • Demonstrable understanding of Reliability Engineering and asset life planning strategies
  • Execution experience in fixed plant equipment maintenance
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with asset integrity management systems
  • Exposure and knowledge of the NSW WHS (M&PS) Legislation and Australian Standards

Please note: This is a 5/2 (9 hours per day) or 9 days per fortnight (10 hours per day) residential role in Orange, NSW.
