About The Role

Reporting to the Reliability Superintendent, you will utilise your professional engineering skills and Reliability Engineering knowledge to identify and manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations.

Additionally, you will assist in the ongoing improvement of RCM based maintenance programs, contribute to the development of shutdown cycles that maximise plant availability and minimise unplanned downtime, and manage projects related to plant and equipment reliability.

With the backing of your peers in the Maintenance leadership team you will develop and maintain a culture of accountability and high performance, which continues to meet customer, safety, reliability and environmental standards.

This is a role where working collaboratively with a range of operators, engineers, maintenance planners, and external contractors will be important. Demonstrating safety leadership, and commercial thinking will be essential to success. Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Professionally and systematically define, design, develop, monitor and refine an Asset Maintenance Plan that includes value added preventative maintenance tasks and effective utilisation of predictive maintenance techniques;
  • Provide input to a Risk Management Plan that will anticipate reliability-related, and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely impact plant operation;
  • Develop engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations including the use of root cause analysis, reliability modelling and prediction;
  • Apply value analysis to repair/replace, repair/redesign, and make/buy decisions;
  • Provide project management oversight to reliability related projects.

About you:

You possess Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering and materials handling experience will be highly regarded). In addition you:
