About the Role
This is a rewarding and diverse role which involves:
- Mechanical and Structural design and drafting using SolidWorks and DraftSight.
- Design of DC electric, pneumatic & hydraulic control systems.
- Assisting engineers with development of test methodology for physical test verification of structures. Conducting the tests.
- Preparing engineering reports and presentations by summarising the results of investigations or tests, explaining methodologies applied and describing results of research conducted.
- Communicating with clients for project-related issues including project meetings, technical document preparation and presentations.
About You
- Advanced Diploma or Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Mechanical or Structural) with between 2-5 years of industry experience, although high-potential candidates of all experience levels including graduates are invited to apply.
- A background in a technical trade would be viewed very favourably.
- Previous experience in 3D CAD modelling and detail drafting.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
- Excellent time management skills with the capacity to manage several projects and clients at any one time.
- A desire to study part time towards a Bachelor of Engineering whilst working full time would be viewed favourably.
