Mechanical Supervisor- Port Experience

Our client is currently looking for an experienced Supervisor/Leading hand to join their highly skilled maintenance team. • Manage the performance of your team.
• Allocate resources to work maximising billable utilisation.
• Undertake unplanned repairs in a timely manner.
• Assist with the development of work forecasting.
• Conduct risk and hazard assessments associated with allocated tasks.
• Managing inventory and ensuring accurate stock levels.
• Data entry involving time cards, service information, and invoicing, as well as varied tasks from the accounts department.
• Upkeeping workshop documents including service, quality assurance, and consumables.
• Specifying product requirements.

You would ideally possess the following experience and skills:Qualifications:

• Mechanical or Electrical Trade
• Current drivers’ licence
• High risk licence for Forklift and Elevated Platform work
• Maritime and Security Identification card (MSIC) or willing to obtain
• Heavy Vehicle/Plant Diesel Experience
• Hydraulic Experience
• Container Terminal asset experience.

Work Experience/skills

• Experience heavy diesel motors (Caterpillar, Cummins, Mercedes preferred)
• Time management
• Design and technical drawing ability
• Heavy vehicle transmission
• Fitting/machining
• Maintence works
• Welding/fabrication
• Hydraulic controls
• Ability to work 12 hour shifts and overtime if required
