Clough is delivering the engineering, procurement and construction for the Waitsia Gas Project Stage 2 development, near Dongara, Western Australia. The Waitsia Stage 2 project includes a new 250 TJ/day gas processing plant with a 20-year life-cycle that will convey gas via the nearby Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline.
Rewarding opportunities exist for experienced Mechanical Technicians to join the project team working on a 20&8 roster (bus-in/bus-out from Perth, or DIDO from Dongara). Your role will include:Having specific knowledge in Commissioning Oil & Gas Plants, specifically in Rotating Equipment which includes but is not limited to: Gas Compression experience Reciprocating Compressors and Ancillary Equipment – installation, setup, shaft alignment, LO flushing
Centrifugal Compressors/Gas or Steam Turbine experience will be considered
Gas Treatment Plant/ Processing Equipment: Amine CO2 Removal & MEG Dewpoint ControlPumps: API single & multistage Air Compressors, Air Driers & Nitrogen GenerationTanks and Pressure VesselsWater Systems: Firewater, Produced Water, Reverse Osmosis, Chemical Dosing Piping Systems: Process, Utilities and PipelinesCondition Monitoring knowledge is a bonus
General tasks and required experience:Documentation and recording of mechanical testing data such as vibration/temperature/sound data collection, red mark up of drawings, understanding of specifications and engineering/process changes (ECRs, MOCs). Ensure that transport, tools, plant and equipment are maintained in proper working order and not abused. Carry out other duties as and when required at the direction of supervisor or lead.
Interface closely with construction and vendor personnel ensuring that activities are undertaken in a safe manner. Ensure testing is of a standard so as to avoid quality and safety breaches. Assure commissioning ITR completion and tracking is maintained to a high level of quality and accuracy.
Actively eliminate and/or report workplace hazards. Participate actively in safe-starts and toolboxes. Understand and use JHAs, Walk the Line, work permitting and other job relevant procedures and standards.
