Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor the role of Mechanical Tradesperson will assist in the provision of mechanical services including undertaking programmed and reactive maintenance on a wide variety of water industry assets.

• Assist with the monitoring, operation and maintenance of water and wastewater assets
• Identification and repair of mechanical faults
• Liaise with operational staff as required to ensure plant operational performance is maintained and critical process issues are diagnosed and resolved
• Monitor and maintain mechanical water and wastewater related assets
• Ensure WHS practices are maintained
• Responsible for ensuring relevant Work Order data is captured through recording of information on electronic devices (iPad & iPhone)

• Must hold a mechanical trade qualification and have experience in relevant works

• Well-developed communication skills
• Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health requirements including hazard identification
• Blue/White Card
• Experience with the maintenance and operation of fluid transfer equipment including pumps, piping, valves would be beneficial 
• Dedication to safety and safe work practices
• Experience in relevant online Work Order Management system beneficial
• Full clean NSW driver’s licence
