Reporting to the Service Coordinator, the Mechanical Tradesperson role is responsible for repairing and Maintaining our core fleet (trucks, mobile plant, and equipment) to achieve maximum equipment availability and productive life through preventative maintenance and quality repairs.

We would love to hear from hardworking and eager candidates who can demonstrate the following mandatory requirements:
- Completion of an apprenticeship in a trade such as a Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade or similar equivalent trade certificate qualification.
- A current, valid “C” class driver's licence or equivalent. The successful applicant will be required to obtain a HR class driver's licence within a reasonable timeframe following commencement.
- Participation in an afterhours call out roster as required.
- Periodically work a weekend roster or other roster to undertake workshop or field service activities.
- As a Mechanical Tradesperson, you may be required or have an opportunity, to travel to other service locations to undertake workshop or field service activities for varying periods of time. You will be entitled to expenses and allowances for such travel as per relevant awards/agreements.
- Refrigerant handling licence or equivalent, or any other heavy vehicle or plant associated licence or certificate, or willingness to obtain as continued professional development.
- High Risk LF Forklift Truck licence.
- Current Queensland ‘HR' Class drivers licence or equivalent.
In addition to the annual salary, we provide allowances, job security and flexibility (part-time, job share arrangements) as well as the following:
- Four weeks of annual leave plus 17.5% leave loading
- Additional allowances (dirty work, field on-call, trade tool)
- Government employer paid superannuation at 12.5%
- 9 day fortnight working schedule
- Extra trade related training can be negotiated dependant on business needs.
