About the role: We are currently seeking a Light Vehicle Equipment Fitter for our Coppabella/Moorvale Joint Venture. Our Coppabella Moorvale mine complex consists of two open-cut mine operations located approximately 140 kilometers southwest of Mackay that produce premium low-volatile PCI coal for export markets.
This role will report to the Light Vehicle Supervisor and provide a high level of Maintenance to the Light Vehicle and Auxilliary Fleet. Duties will include:
- Maintain and improve maintenance to maximise equipment availability and reliability
- Ensure maintenance strategies are implemented
- Provide input in forecasting for planned work
- Adherence to work management procedures
- Ensure compliance with relevant statutory, legislative, and site policies and procedures
The lifestyle: This position is offered on a 7 Days On and 7 Days Off (Day only) roster and can allow for a residential (Moranbah or Nebo), DIDO or FIFO lifestyle. Employees living residentially may have access to a $15,000 housing allowance and may have the ability to salary sacrifice up to 50% of rental payments.
About you:
- Mechanical/Electrical Fitter or Motor Mechanic Trade
- Strong working knowledge of SAP, maintenance principles and procedures
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in safety systems and processes
