Bromar is seeking immediate start for an experienced control systems engineer based out of our office in Westmeadows, VIC.
The role will consist of full project lifecycle works from concept and tendering through to onsite commissioning and handover of ICS, PLC, and SCADA systems.
Projects will be conducted as both an individual and in a team environment, liaising with clients and suppliers to ensure the most effective outcome for all stakeholders is achieved.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Supervision of and co-ordination of the Engineering Team.
- Scope, develop, test, and commission PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems and upgrades.
- Electrical design of LV systems including power reticulation, motor control, control systems, and instrumentation.
- Compliance with internal, client, industry, and legislative standards throughout all phases of works.
- Creation and control of documents and programs.
- Onsite works including commissioning and fault finding of projects and machinery, after hours work may be required, short term interstate travel is anticipated.
- Liaising with clients and suppliers to understand requirements and offerings, and to follow through with all communications to successful implementations of solutions.
- Continuous improvement activities including upkeep of internal policies and procedures with evolving best practices and experiences.
Skills and experience required include the following:
- Proven experience in programming, commissioning, and fault finding of Siemens & Rockwell PLC's, HMI, and SCADA systems. Experience in Siemens and other vendor platforms, drive and servo systems, and robotic systems will be highly regarded.
- Proven experience in design of LV systems including drafting of schematics in AutoCAD.
- Experience with networking in corporate and industrial environments.
- High level of spoken and written English, including technical documentation creation and understanding.
- Ability to work unsupervised while reporting key information to stakeholders.
- Well presented with a professional attitude.
