Talk to us about how this could work for you.Period of AppointmentUp to 12 monthsHours per fortnightUp to 73.5 hours - flexible options available.Duties * Working in a fast-paced communications team to assist in identifying media opportunities, assist in managing media issues and enquiries and provide balanced and accurate media advice to a range of internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Assist in collaborating with DPAC business units on a variety of communications issues and assist them to draft and implement communications and media plans and media releases in line with strategic objectives and portfolio requirements.
- Build and maintain proactive working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including media organisations, ministerial offices and departmental managers and to assess and respond to their varied Media and Communications requirements.
- Provide professional writing, editing and proofreading services to clients to deliver high quality and engaging communications material (including but not limited to media releases, speeches, event packages, briefing kits, editorial, magazine articles, internet, intranet, corporate communications and social media).
- Quality assure and facilitate appropriate approvals for Media and Communications deliverables for diverse audiences and ensure compliance with all government and departmental Media and Communications policies and processes.
- Contribute to and maintain the communications diary, enquiries register, and other systems as required.
- Undertake other communications and events related activities and projects as required.

- A current full motor vehicle license
- Relevant formal tertiary qualification in Communications and/or 1-3 years of professional experience in a similar media or communications role
