The role
As part of a multi-skilled Corporate Affairs team, you will work closely with project teams and the Senior Media and Communication Advisor, to develop and deliver media and communication solutions for infrastructure development and delivery projects.
Responsibilities will include:
Providing strategic media and communication advice/input to Stakeholder Management Plans.
Supporting the development and implementation of activity-specific action plans for key activities, specific issues and campaigns.
Developing and managing of a suite of external communication materials including (but not limited to) media releases, website copy, speeches, feature stories, presentations, advertisements, posters, fact sheets or other published materials.
Ensuring these materials align with Sunwater’s corporate and project-related branding requirements.
Identifying proactive project-related media opportunities, and developing responses to reactive media enquiries.
Please note that as part of this role you will participate in an on-call media roster (approximately one in eight weeks) to support a 24/7 media service, strategic response team and control centre. Please also note that there will be some travel associated with this role, around 1 – 2 times per month (sometimes up to 2 nights).
About you
Sunwater is looking for someone with at least three years’ experience in a similar role. You will be able to demonstrate exceptional writing ability and have experience translating technical information to produce informative and compelling communication materials.
In addition, you will be able to demonstrate:
Tertiary qualifications in public relations or a communication discipline
Media engagement experience, and the ability to respond positively in high-stress situations and meet defined deadlines.
Demonstrated experience collaborating with multi-skilled project teams and subject matter experts to ensure consistent and accurate project messaging.
