Address Your new opportunity Queensland Treasury (QT) has an opportunity for a senior communication professional to join the Strategic Communications Division. This role will join a high performing team developing and implementing communications and stakeholder strategies, delivering against the department’s vision and business objectives.
In this role, you will:
Provide expert advice to senior managers and other stakeholders on communications and stakeholder strategies, develop communication material, manage events and lead on significant communication projects. You will work with a range of stakeholders to plan, monitor and project manage communication strategies and activities that are aligned with Treasury's corporate direction and government policy.
Oversee and manage the development and implementation of integrated communication and stakeholder engagement strategies to support our role in shaping Queensland's economy and finances.
Manage significant departmental events attended by key industry stakeholders.
Proactively work with divisions and business units to identify communication and stakeholder opportunities and develop strategies to manage complex and sensitive issues.
Provide coaching to and engage senior leaders on the value and importance of strategic stakeholder engagement and effective communication to support overall business success.
Demonstrate leadership in supporting team members - developing their capability, and actively engage in a team environment and contribute to a positive culture.
Actively foster and maintain professional relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders and ensure Strategic Communications provides effective services within the department.
