ABOUT THE ROLE
- Due to our continued expansion, we are seeking a dynamic sales specialist to lead direct medical sales activity including lead identification, pursuit, engagement, education, tracking and reporting.
- As Medical Science Liaison, you will also help support Kind Medical’s sales operations and inbound communication channels, as needed
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct Medical Sales
- Execute a high volume of direct medical sales lead identification and outreach for your region.
- Drive healthcare professional onboarding and continuing education through in-person and virtual education sessions, industry events and other channels. This may involve regional travel on a periodic basis, requiring independent planning.
- Support the development and implementation of medical education and primary research initiatives and channels.
- Conduct research and assessment of the therapeutic value of products, both existing and potential, and communicate outcomes with internal stakeholders and healthcare professionals.
- Assist with prioritisation of sales team activity through our sales funnel and CRM management rhythms.
- Maintain a clear and accurate record of sales activity within our CRM and other reporting tools to enable consistent and focused evaluation of performance against business goals.
- Assist in the ongoing refinement of Altum’s sales strategy and processes. Identify and implement continuous improvements.
- Consistently share knowledge gained from customer interaction and work cross-functionally in delivering market-facing initiatives.
- Build strong client and stakeholder relationships, understanding their needs and tailoring messages and communications to suit stakeholder context.
- Develop a strong knowledge of the Altum’s brands, ethos and products, and stay up to date with market movements and industry insights.
- Plan, coordinate and conduct regional travel where required.
Sales Operations
- Assist where required with healthcare practitioner and patient enquiries and feedback received via Kind Medical’s inbound customer contact channels including phone, email and kind.com.au.
- Support aspects of commercial analysis and reporting, garnering insight from direct sales activity and actual sales performance.
EXPERIENCE AND KEY CRITERIA
- Proven experience in customer or healthcare professional facing role/s within similar industries (e.g., Pharmaceuticals, Health & Wellness, Consumer Products), consulting, and/or a high-growth business setting.
- This role will be required to undertake coursework and achieve certification in Medicines Australia Code of Conduct curriculum. Prior attainment of this certification or equivalent knowledge will be favourable.
- Demonstrated success in a sales /education role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven stakeholder and client engagement experience.
- Experience using systems and platforms such as Google Suite, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with HubSpot or other CRM systems is a plus.
- This role may involve independent and team travel to meet sales objectives.
- Comfortability with planning and conducting regional travel will be required.
