Medical Laboratory Scientist Grade 1/2

The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individuals to join our scientific team. This is a full time fixed term position to work in our biochemistry laboratory.

Your new role:

• Perform a variety of biochemical analyses using both automated and manual methods.
• Undertake other related duties as required.
• Participate in our rotational 24/7 shift roster.

About you:

• You have a bachelor’s degree in science or in applied science, or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience in a tertiary hospital or private Biochemistry laboratory is desirable.
• You display a commitment to customer focused service.
• You demnstrate a capacity to perform under pressure, to meet time constraints and determine work priorities.
• You have well-developed written and verbal communication skills and work well in a team.
