Rays Wellness, a new, modern Medicinal Cannabis Dispensary has opened in the Fortitude Valley/New Farm area and we’re looking for an enthusiastic Pharmacist to join our team!

About the role

With a can-do attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn, this is an exciting opportunity for an early career or experienced Pharmacist to discover this exciting industry. You will be part of our team that ensures plant medications are dispensed and dispatched in a timely and accurate manner. In the role, you will be responsible for a diverse range of tasks, including: 

• Provide the highest standard of customer service to our patients (both in person and over the phone), with a focus on education, transparency and safety 
• Dispensing and checking specialised Medicinal Cannabis prescriptions
• Verifying patient prescriptions in accordance with Federal SAS-B and Authorised Prescriber documentation, and any relevant State approvals
• Work closely with clinic partners, and maintain relationships with doctors, nurses and practice managers
• Work with all medical science liaisons from key brands to assist with educating patients on their products 
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical research in key therapeutic areas and Medicinal Cannabis products
• Packing patient orders for daily collection
• Inventory and S8 stock management
• Lead by example and demonstrate knowledge and understanding of loss prevention, security and OH&S

Candidate requirements:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy
• APHRA registration to practice as a Pharmacist (with no restrictions) in Australia
• Experience working as a Pharmacist and/or Pharmacy Manager in a fast-paced environment 
• Quick learner - the ability to understand and adhere to dispensing procedures and adapt as we grow 
• Experience working in a fast-paced pharmacy
• New pharmacy graduates are welcome to apply
• Experience with Medicinal Cannabis products will be highly regarded but not compulsory 
• Proficiency with Z Software is viewed favourably
