POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking applications from experienced Melt Deck Technicians who will be responsible for the metallurgical and spectrometer operations in the Foundry.
Key responsibilities of the Melt Deck Technician include;
- Managing the Spectrometer Room in the Foundry to ensure customer requirements are met and testing is carried out in an efficient and controlled manner.
- Developing and improving processes within the spectrometer room.
- Setting up, operating and maintaining the spectrometer machine.
- Obtaining, measuring and preparing samples for testing.
- Investigating material failures and recommending corrective and preventive action.
- Overseeing the Melt Deck operations including the maintenance of equipment including the reordering of goods and services.
