Melbourne based conservative Think Tank, an established not-for-profit organisation with members at the heart of its operations, seeks a skilled Writer to join their passionate and committed team.
You will collaborate closely with stakeholders in Research, Communications, Memberships and Development, then craft engaging content tailored to members, donors and the wider general public. To be successful in this diverse role, you'll need to be motivated, well-organised and above all, good at writing.
Key responsibilities:
- Produce engaging quarterly newsletters for members
- Craft proposals for key and prospective donors
- Develop speeches for the Executive Director for key events
- Coordinate production of the quarterly magazine, working alongside the Editor to determine content, and a Designer to manage end-to-end production
- Lead the production of annual report, including engagement with photographers, designers and writers
- Lead production of the donors impact report.
It goes without saying, but to be considered for this role above else you must have good written skills, and the ability to produce engaging content in plain English tailored to audience.
Key requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience working in marketing or communications, preferably for a membership association, not-for-profit, or peak industry organisation
- Proven experience writing long and short-form material
- Excellent interpersonal skills, collaborating effectively with stakeholders to get the information you need
- Strong Communication and copywriting skills
- Strong attention to detail in editing and proof-reading
- Excellent planning, organisational and project management skills
- Qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or other related discipline highly regarded
