The CEPU Plumbing Division is seeking a full time Office Administrator in our Membership Department.
The position involves working in a busy blue collar trade union office and applicants must be capable of communicating with blue collar workers about union and work related issues. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing the Union’s membership system.
Duties will include, but not limited to:
- Provide a high level of customer service
- Receipting membership fees
- Managing membership database
- Produce database reports
- Providing advice to members re membership accounts and services
- Speaking with union members about work related and union related matters
- Secretarial Support
- General Office Duties
Skills Required for the position:
- Previous office experience
- Typing Speed 40-50 wpm
- Microsoft Word & Excel (intermediate/high)
- A pass in Senior English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Pleasant telephone manner
- Excellent communication skills
- Good team player
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise
- Commitment to Union values
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
