This is an opportunity to join the EPIC Support Services team supporting Adults, Youth and Children living with Brain disorders eg (Mental Health, Autism, ABI, Dementia, Huntington's) as well as other disabilities to lead meaningful lives. EPICisdedicated to working with vulnerable people and making sure that they don’t slip through the cracks.
We currently have immediate vacancies for qualified and experienced Support Workers to assist our participants in Melbourne Suburbs - South and South Eastern and Northern suburbs, supporting participants in their homes and in Supported Independent Living options (SIL)
Our participants have various support needsthat include: capacity building todeisolate, community access, supporting recovery, personal care, medication assistance, hoisting, shopping, cooking, attending recreational and group activities, attending appointments, maintaining relationships and transportation. You will be performing a vital role in assisting participants to achieve their NDIS plan goals.
We support people for a variety of shifts 7 days a week, daytime, evening and overnight shifts.
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum Cert IV in Mental Health and or Disability Support
- Experience working with people living with Mental Health disorders
- Experience working with Autism in Adults, Youth or Children
- Cert in AOD will be highly regarded
- Current Police and Working with Children Check
- First Aid/CPR
- 2 professional reference checks
- Current full driver's license and a reliable, insured car
- Commitment to providing exceptional support together with great communication skills
