Address We are looking for a Mental Health Clinician to join our great Head to Health team at Roselands. This is a temporary contract until 30 June 2025 (with possibility for extension). The Mental Health Clinician is Level 3 of the Health Professionals and Support Services Award.

About the Program
Head to Health is also intended to offer immediate, short and medium term episodes of care and service navigation to connect people to ongoing services. It will assist adults seeking help in times of crisis, or as needs emerge, to have access to on-the-spot care, advice, and support.
About the Role
The Mental Health Clinician provides a highly visible and accessible entry point to services for people experiencing psychological distress, where all feel safe and welcomed. Among other responsibilities, Mental Health Clinicians:
Offer an episode of care model based on short to medium term multidisciplinary collaborative care, aimed at improving psychological wellbeing for people with moderate to high levels of Mental Health need, whose needs are not being met through other services.
Respond to people in significant distress, including people at heightened risk of suicide, providing support that may reduce the need for emergency department attendance.
Provide a central point to connect people to other services in the region, including through offering information and advice about Mental Health and AOD use, service navigation and warm referral pathways for individuals, and their carers and family.
Your skills and experience
Tertiary qualifications in a Mental Health discipline, such as Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Nursing or counselling.
Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), AASW, PACFA (Clinical registration) or ACA level 3.
A current driver licence and access to a fully insured vehicle.
An understanding of the recovery- based and trauma-informed approach to assisting people with Mental Health concerns.
Knowledge of the NSW Mental Health system and local services; or demonstrated ability to rapidly develop this knowledge.
Minimum 2 years experience in providing clinical assessments and evidence-based Mental Health interventions.
Strong relationship building skills to navigate, collaborate and develop partnerships within the NSW Mental Health system and local services.
