About the Role:
* Deliver specialised Mental Health clinical and consultancy services incorporating current evidence-based practice approaches to the assessment and treatment of consumers with an eating disorder, in accordance with accepted professional practices, legal and ethical requirements with a high degree of independence.
* Provide professional leadership and responsibility for development of the Eating Disorder Specialist Service clinical practices, procedures and protocols
* Provide clinical advice and direction to a team of Mental Health Clinicians to ensure effective service delivery and quality outcomes applying change management, conflict resolution and negotiation skills where necessary.
* Provide high quality clinical supervision to Mental Health Clinicians and allied health assistants to support effective and efficient service delivery of the Eating Disorder Specialist Service
* Develop, monitor and report on clinical practices and professional service outcomes for the Eating Disorder Specialist Service/ service through the collection, analysis and reporting of relevant data, key performance indicators and outcome measures.
* Lead the development and knowledge translation of evidence based clinical practices, procedures, protocols and education materials to improve the delivery of Mental Health services, in relation to speciality areas.
* Lead innovative quality/service improvement activities and contribute to research of significant scope and clinical importance to the Eating Disorder Specialist Service, seeking outcomes that influence standards of clinical practice and the delivery of services to meet local needs and influence broader organisational goals including publishing/presenting relevant work broadly.
