About your new role:
As a Mental Health Clinician within the Peel Mental Health Service Extended Care Team, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of Mental Health Professionals, including medical, nursing, allied health, and peer work colleagues. Operating 7 days a week, our service provides assessment, support, and short-term care coordination for Adult Intake, Adult Acute Care in the community, and Mental Health presentations to the Tamworth Hospital Emergency Department.
Your role will involve utilising your previous experience working in a Mental Health setting with the ability to work across the lifespan with the Emergency Care component providing to assessments across the life span. In your role, you will support patients and their families and carers to ensure clinical interventions and service delivery processes are understood and enable patients to make informed decisions in relation to their health needs.
The Peel Mental Health Service Extended Care Team offers acute community-based care, including acute assessment through in reach at the Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital Emergency Department. Our service maintains a strong clinical governance to ensure the consistent delivery of exceptional Mental Health care to every patient. With a focus on driving change and innovation in ambulatory Mental Health services, our leadership team, comprising diverse multidisciplinary roles, offers various supports to enhance your role.

- Situated within the broader Peel Mental Health Service, our team operates as a modern and innovative service catering to Mental Health assessment and treatment needs across the Peel sector communities.
- Located at Peel MHS on the Tamworth Hospital site, this role may involve travel within approximately a 2.5-hour radius.
- Be a resource for the community and wider team regarding Mental Health practices
