An opportunity has become available for several Occupational Therapists/Psychologists/Social Workers - Senior (Mental Health - Crisis Stabilisation Unit) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Deliver high level clinical services in accordance with professional code of ethics and National Practice Standards
- Provide independent Mental Health, alcohol and/or drug services to high risk patients with severe and complex Mental Health problems
- Possess a high level of clinical leadership and advocacy for the Mental Health needs of service consumers
- Provide high level expertise of comprehensive and flexible Mental Health service in a specialised area of clinical practice
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- A tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Social Work
- AHPRA Registration (Occupational Therapist/Psychologist only)
- Eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (Social Worker only)
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time and permanent part time (several positions, hrs negotiable)
- Base salary ranging from $124 435 - $133 901 per annum

The Mental HealthCrisis Stabilisation facility provides consumers presenting with a Mental Health, alcohol and/or drug crisis/illness a safe, supportive environment for acute Mental Health assessment, treatment, and management, including a range of short-term options tailored to meet individual needs. The core principles embedded in all aspects of this model of service includes trauma informed care, zero suicide, reduction in seclusion and restraint, and Integrated Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Service interventions.
